Pastor's Communique

The NEW YEAR is generally a time for a Pastor to look back and reflect on the year. I only have a couple of months to reflect on as being a Pastor of a new church plant. But, as I look back...I am amazed by what God can do in a short amount of time.

Sherii and I are blessed by family members and grandchildren who are supportive and involved. We are overwhelmed with gratitude for their energy, spiritual backing of prayers, tithes and offerings. Added to this, are many other people God has brought into our lives who have joined as members with us and they are the exact same way. God is giving us a firm foundation of church goers to help build His church!

The greatest thing we all have in common is a zeal to win souls. Our motto has been, "Each one, Reach one." Every one of us realize as we walk out the door of every church service, we enter a mission field.

Our New Year's Eve Service will be a time of looking forward with a continued passion to see with the eyes of the Spirit of God and recognize everyone's need for JESUS!

He is the center of our joy!

I would like to take the time to personally thank the NORTH AMERICAN MISSION, every person who contributes to Christmas for Christ, every person who has prayed for UNITED PENTECOSTALS IN PLATTE CITY, every person who believed in me, every person who supported us in any way, whether financially, spiritually, through membership, or all of the above...I THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart. There would not be a UPINPC without YOU!!

With great expectancy, we approach 2012! We can't help but anticipate what Jesus Christ holds for the future.

I love United Pentecostals in Platte City!

What an Awesome presence of God at UP in PC, today! Today was our Christmas program with an all kids cast. We had Gabriel, Mary with baby Jesus, Joseph, three other angels, a Shepherd, two little lambs, and a wise man all there to tell us “What Jesus really wanted for Christmas." The answer was seen in a mirror. What he wants is US.
Then Amber and Mae did a great job bring all to tears signing “Here I am”.

Bro. Michael Parrett gave his first sermonette on the topic of Christmas. He started with laughter and took us to tears while challenging us to not save the Christmas cheer for only once a year.

To all of you that helped prepare and make it all happen, I say, "GREAT JOB!" We had 40 in attendance with 12 first time guests today! What a GREAT AND AWESSOME GOD WE SERVE! Thank you Jesus for all you have done and all you are going to do in Platte City, Mo.

We are also very much looking forward to having Rev. Arthur Shilts on January 8th.

See you at the Christmas Banquet on Tue.

What a Mighty God we serve! We are a UNITED PENTECOSTAL North American Home Missions work in Platte City, MO. We have had our doors open for 5 weeks, today.
Today, we had 28 in attendance! That is 4 more than our highest attendance we've had so far.
We also had 4 guests today which doubled our average of 2 guests per week!
Surely, we count the numbers in attendance...we want to document growth. But, the true measure(which cannot be measured)is how His Spirit moves in the service.
Our God is a waymaker, a prayer answerer, burden lifter, comforter, healer! Jesus is EVERYTHING YOU NEED! So, when He shows up, it is a success!
We plan to bring someone to meet Him each week! We will go out into the highways and the biways and compel them to come in.
There are many holiday activities and now, a surgery is thrown into the mix.
My voice might stop but His work won't wait. There is a HARVEST!
We have several outreaches we will go out on in the coming weeks. In corporate prayer this morning, we bound the enemy of Platte City and we loosed the Spirit of Liberty in the Holy Ghost! In your focused prayer, please pray we will have eyes to see the souls He leads us to reach.
Have a great week in Jesus!

After consultation with two surgeons, it is determined that it is necessary for me to have surgery on my left vocal chord to remove a polyp. As part of recovery, I will be unable to speak for a period of time up to six weeks. My surgeon is a specialist in vocal chord surgeries. He is skilled with working with people who use thier voices in their vocation.
The surgeon is also optimistic that he can restore my voice to what it was before March. For that I will be grateful. I am also grateful for your prayers.

Pastor's Communique

We are happy that the United Pentecostals in Platte City have averaged two guests per week and also averaged 22 in attendance each week for our first four weeks!! With God's help, we look for that number to do nothing but increase!

Last week we were blessed to hear sister Tracy Leach give the testimony of the healing of Gilbert Leach. God STILL heals! We expect many more testimonies of Jesus healing, delivering and saving. He is an awesome God! Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today and forever!

In the midst of holiday events, celebrations, gatherings, and the hustle and bustle of shopping for gifts, I pray Jesus gives you the gift of peace and fills you with His Spirit.
